About Scary Shadow Spot - Bitter Glass

John Doe, a man with no memory, wanders for days through the desert, on the verge of survival. When all seems lost, he spots a remote saloon in the distance: the Bitter Glass. In search of water and shelter, John steps inside… only to find himself trapped in a place that seems alive and haunted by the souls of the dead. The ghosts inhabiting the saloon are members of the gang, the Demons of the Apocalypse, and they ask John to fulfill their last wishes to finally find peace. But a deeper mystery looms: who is John Doe? And why won’t these souls let him go?

Bitter Glass is the second game in the developer Daniele Doesn't Matter's "Scary Shadow Spot" series. This series is inspired heavily by the 1960's Twilight Zone TV show. This game is a horror walking simulator with many excellent puzzles and several minor easy stealth sections. The game took just over 4 hours to complete. + The setting is original and super atmospheric. The game takes place in a small western town, complete with a bar saloon, a small hotel, and a little grocery store. There are a few little places to explore around the outskirts as well. + A few very well placed jumpscares. The horror is toned down a bit in this game in favour for more of an exploration / puzzle experience. There are still some very frightening unnerving moments. + The "Getting Drunk" to calm your nerves, and "Throwing up" to get sober, gameplay mechanic is hilarious. + The story is mysterious and exceptional. Lots to uncover. Many interesting zombie characters to discover and talk to. + The game is extremely polished, ran perfectly on max settings. + The AI voice acting is well done, very clear, and well written. It works perfectly to tell the story coherently. + Excellent creepy sound effects …

I received this game for free from Daniele Doesn't Matter, thank you! You can also find me in the game on a Wanted Poster (go find me)! This is the 2nd installment to the Scary Shadow Spot series - a Twilight Zone-like indie horror game franchise. In this game you play as John Doe who is wandering in a deserted (mostly) town to learn about the deaths of the cowboy gang the "Demons of the Apocalypse" and find out how/why they died while exploring your own mysterious existence in this eerie location. If you like puzzles and intriguing story lines, you'll love this game! There is no combat. I think this is the weakest of Daniele's games so far (and I've played them all), but it was still a lot of fun to play and I was very entertained by it. I can't wait to see what the next installment in the Scary Shadow Spot series brings! PROS: * Engaging story * Easy controls (K&M only) * Easy UI system * Items replenish over time so you'll never run out (healing, save tokens, etc) * Once you get the lantern, you'll never need candles (so throw them and matches away) * Pretty graphics * Fun puzzles * Fun collectables (streamer "Wanted" posters) * Manual saves with coins at ca…

Doesn't Matter Games releases another episode of "Scary Shadow Spot"... and just like episode one... it does not disappoint. There are a TON of perfectly timed scares in the game... a plethora of mind bending puzzles... and an interesting story with Danieles' personal flair attached. There's also an "Easter Egg" for episode three in the game. I'm not going to tell where to look for it... but just keep your eyes peeled... and make sure you explore every nook and cranny of the Bitter Glass saloon and the surrounding buildings and area. Daniele may not matter... but he never disappoints.

Absolutely loving this little twilight zone inspired series. Doesn't Matter Games has a formula that works for horror and puzzles and every game so far has been so much fun. Nothing beats working through multiple puzzles at once thru the entire game and getting that excited feeling as you slowly finish them all off before the end of the game. I think it just hits the right parts of my ADHD brain without becoming frustrating and overwhelming. Episode 3 please!

I absolutely loved the first episode and this episode hasn't disappointed me one bit. Loved every minute of the game. Some of the puzzles took a bit to figure out, but weren't really too challenging, just mainly oversights on my part. The graphics are fantastic as always, and there are a number of jump scares that really got me at times. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone, especially those people who have played and enjoyed any of the previous games from Daniele Doesn't Matter. Keep up the good work and i look forward to the next episode / game. Oh yeah i almost forgot to mention the "back to the future" easter eggs in the game, there are a couple of them. the first one had me laughing my ass off, as i am a big fan of the back to the future trilogy.

Finished Last Farewell last week, and had a blast streaming Bitter Glass tonight. Again, can't say enough about these devs - great storytelling and I LOVE the Twilight Zone vibe of the Scary Shadow Spot series.
