About Scratch Off!
Scratch Off! is a deck-building roguelike built around scratch cards. You start with a basic deck, a wallet with no coins, and a landlord who wants his rent. From there, every decision you make shapes your run. Each turn you pick which cards to commit, scratch them one by one, and watch the numbers add up. Land a full board of positives and you trigger a jackpot. Hit too many skulls and your total tanks. Coins you collect along the way trigger automatically as you scratch, multiplying values, punishing bad luck, and occasionally saving you from disaster.Between rounds you visit the shop. Buy new cards, add upgrades, grab a coin from the checkpoint cases. Slowly you build something that works, or something that completely falls apart at the worst possible time.
A scratch card game with actual depth
Every card type plays differently. The standard card is a safe workhorse. Diamond cards have brutal skull penalties but enormous clover payouts. Slot cards are one pull from winning everything or losing it all. The Coin is a single cell, pure gambling.Coins you collect permanently change how the game plays. Stack cherry multipliers. Build a deck around a single card type. Let the landlord win once, unlock the deck that turns every broken coin into a skull, and try again.Unlock new decks by playing
Every deck unlocks through gameplay, not menus. Win your first run to unlock the Gold Rush deck. Earn minus ten dollars from a single card to unlock No Mercy. The unlock conditions push you to try things you normally would not.Eight decks in total, each with a modifier that changes the rules of the run. Rent targets go up forty percent. Your hand size shrinks by one. Everything costs less but the shop charges ten times the normal price after you pick up a certain coin.Build a run, not just a round
Scratch Off! rewards players who think across the whole run, not just the current turn. A coin that feels weak early can be the difference between paying rent on the final group or falling a few dollars short. Removing a bad card now saves you from dead weight later. The runs are short enough that losing does not sting for long. Long enough that when something clicks and your scratch totals keep climbing, it feels earned.Features
- Deck building meets scratch cards
- Over fifty coins with wildly different effects
- Eight unlockable decks each with unique run modifiers
- Jackpot system triggered by full positive boards
- Endless mode for runs with no finish line
Wonderful game!
Played the alpha, the demo and now the full game and it gets better everytime! Very fun game with lots of replayability. It's addicting and rewards creativity, and there are basically no restrictions on how crazy you can make your combos. In terms of replayability there are plenty of different ways to go about your runs, with tactics and RNG each run to spice it up, aswell as different starting decks all with their own "heats", stacking debuffs through out the entire run. You might feel it's easy when you are starting out, but if you want a challange it's there for sure! Overall a great game, only negative is that there isn't more of it available to play Also dev, add multiplayer please ;) 4 found this helpful

Game is fun, but it's hard to beat the 1500 rent round.2 found this helpful
lots of potential, a few tweaks and fix will make the game a lot better. If more content release, I can see myself spend hours playing this game.2 found this helpful
This game shows a ton of promise, but not just yet. It absolutely needs some balancing and tweaks here and there. + The game in itself is very addicting. The sound effects for hitting positive numbers repeatedly is amazing. + The option to auto-scratch is great for people who have hand problems like myself. + Most things are *there* for this to be a truly great balatro-coded game. - While I initially liked the music, I found it got repetitive really fast. - The RNG is harsh, I almost want to say it's ridiculous. Using buffing chances does less than it should. This applies for value and mastery packs too. - There are too few different types of scratch offs. It would be nice to add a few more. This includes upgrades of said scratch offs. The only GOOD one is Foil. The rest are just not worth using. I'd say give it a few big updates and this'll hit a bit harder.2 found this helpful
