About Settlers of Orion
Settlers of Orion is a turn based hybrid board game that blends the board game style of Settlers of Catan with the exploration of space. Because of the game to game advancement system that SOO uses, the game has extensive hours of playability. You earn game tokens once you have won or lost a game and you use these game tokens to unlock new races and powerful artifacts.
The game features extensive game start options that will allow you to play at a very high difficulty level, which will earn you bonus game tokens.

This is a space version of Settlers of Catan, with some slightly different game mechanics. Overall, for a game I bought for under $5 I have got my money's worth.1 found this helpful
It's OK as patience.
Can't recommend this game at the current state. LOVE THE IDEA. However, when playing with AI the game forces you to play with five bots. This makes your turn feel like ages before something happens. I've played a lot of Catan, and you can theoretically be playing on everyone's turn. This game feels like moving through a slime cube, and not getting a huge feeling of accomplishment settling the galaxy. UI stinks. Graphics stink. Game looks like something I loaded up when I was five on my home computer, and plays just as well. Make an updated game, and I'll be back.
I'll only give it a recommend if they fix the game taking over your ships and sending them wherever it feels like it. I'm not talking about the AI. I'm talking about the game suddenly controlling your entire fleet, one after the other, while it's your turn and sending them piled up into a space flux (or whatever that pink barrier is called) or right on past a planet you intended to land on, until all your movement points are used up. You will lose every time when this happens.
An enjoyable game, perfect for unwinding after a long day or if you feel like twiddling away some time. Has some new and some previous concepts of the really superior Star Fleet Armada.
LOVE THIS GAME! it’s a 4X board game so to speak. There is no combat...you and the other races explore space and compete for victory points by colonizing planets and researching and trading. Very good game recommend 100%. This should run on older computers as well.
