If you're a fan of Euro-style board games about resource conversion, action efficiency and hand management, and wish there were more singleplayer video games based on those design principles (but are sick of the deluge of samey deckbuilders), this is the game for you. Graphically it's not much to look at, but mechanically it's a joy to play. My only real criticism is that the difficulty progression is a bit too slow, with a few too many easy runs before things get really interesting.
A really enjoyable strategy game where you try to settle an area of space. Involves resource management, token movement, and card placement. The more you play, the more cards and the more species unlock that add new wrinkles to the game. Very well done.
I come back to this game every once in a while and it's always enjoyable & relaxing.
After almost nine years I'm still trying to get any race to rank 14. Worst grindy rot in over thirty years' PC gaming, and worst grindy rot in 23 years on Steam. Grow up.
Game screws you over with its terrible UI and when you try and reload to fix it, it force loses you your run. Terrible game design.
compact resource management card upgrading puzzler.
