Shahrzad - The Storyteller is a pretty standard HOG, hidden object game. Like most it has nice art work. The game play entails picking an unlocked place on the map where you will then meet the person who lives there. After that you are given two rounds of hidden objects, one round of hidden object (singular) where you need to find 25 of a certain type of object, a round of spot the difference, a jigsaw puzzle, then finally a round of match the objects. This repeats for each different location. From the main screen you can access your house where you spend earned money on upgrading your house with nice objects and furniture, a challenges menu, settings, and a shop where you buy hints and a few other things. It is a nice HOG game but it is a little naughty in that from what I can tell you are meeting the shadiest characters from middle eastern history who tell you they are nice people and give you a little sob story about the situation they are in, which is a total lie, then you help them and get paid. I assume the game ends before it gets to the part where you are raided by the ancient authorities for working for these people. Anyway it is a nice HOG and I will recommend it for th…

This is a pretty standard Hidden Object Game. There are maybe 10 levels if I'm recalling correctly. Each level has 6 modes of play. Once you've played through each mode the next level is unlocked. The first mode is always a standard HO mode where it tells you what to find and you find it in the image. The second mode involves descriptions of the object the game asks you to find. The third mode requires you to find 25 of the same object (for example you find 25 cups). The fourth mode is to find the difference between the two pictures. The fifth mode is a jigsaw puzzle. The sixth mode is to find the two matching objects, like there are 8 keys and 2 are identical. In order to move on, you need to gain both a star and a gem. Passing each mode/level is sort of related to time but, essentially you want to make sure all your clicks happen as close to each other as possible. In the standard modes, this just means finding everything as fast as you can (I believe you need to be around 30 seconds to get the star and gem). In the spot the different mode though it doesn't matter how long you take as long as you find all of the differences immediately. The game's interface isn't g…

It is not possible to continue after the first hidden object scene! I completed it in 50 seconds and no hints. I found all of the objects. Yet, my score was 0 and there was no "Next" or "Finished" or any button to continue. I posted the issue to the Discussions with no response. I cannot recommend the game as it is ... it is not playable. ***** Updated - I did get the game to work by messing with the profile (deleting and adding an extra one). So, now I can play the game at least. No response, but I guess there didn't need to be. Still, I wouldn't count on Dev help for this one. So, I changed my review from a negative to a positive though seeing Dev responses in the forum is a big plus. This is more neutral than positive. It's interesting the way there are different hidden object variations for each location, and you need so many stars to start the next location. Each puzzle must be solved in a certain amount of time with few hints to get a star. There is a puzzle put together, Find hidden objects by name, find hidden objects by cryptic description, etc. All in all, fun and interesting concept.
