RPG Maker strikes again! Shu's Misfortune is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. this is a bizarre and frankly awful JRPG with a weird "fashion" theme that just doesn't work, along with all the normal high school anime club dropout fanfiction writing, bad map design, flipped RPG Maker assets... ugh. At least they're not trying to get money for this, but I think this should be a paid product. They should pay me for the time I wasted playing this garbage. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. Short rpg, but free so that's OK. Just a rpg fan's way of passing half a day.
I would have kind of liked this small-scaled game, if Shu wasn't a monster who kills everything in one hit, and the map design is confusing on where the player should go. Please take this advice to improve on future projects.
