Silent World is a minimalist, relaxing experience with soothing aesthetics that appeals to players seeking calm, meditative gameplay with ambient music, though many agree it lacks traditional game mechanics and substantial content, offering only a few minutes of skateboarding across different backgrounds before exhausting its limited appeal. Players are divided on whether it qualifies as a game at all, with critics arguing it's more of an interactive art piece with no real gameplay loops, while supporters appreciate it as a brief, peaceful diversion despite acknowledging its minimal replay val

Very relaxing, put on some smooth jazz and just relax, I do wish there was full screen though.3 found this helpful
"Silent World" is not really a game, although it looks like one. This Chinese pixelcrap simply shows you a 2D pixel scene with the "Dark foreground" style shamelessly ripped off from Microsoft's Limbo puzzle platformer. Talk about derivative. But what they didn't ripoff from anyone is gameplay... there is none. All you do is watch the skateboard move. There's no gameplay loops here, it's not a game, it cannot be "played". It's more of an "art" piece polluting Steam and taking up space that should be given to genuine game developers who make real, playable games. This might as well just be a Youtube video. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but j…2 found this helpful
Before I played Silent World, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
2 found this helpful
If I could leave a neutral review I would. You choose a background and skate for a minute on that background. Rinse and repeat for 4 backgrounds. After that you leave a review with your own personal words to describe the "game". I chose thumbs up because I think some people might enjoy something like this. I'm thinking those that like P&C games and listening to soothing music. Other than that, there's really not much reason to play the game for more than 10 minutes. In the About This Game section of the Steam page is states, "new scenes will be continuously coming in the future." Don't know that is true because in less than 30 days from now the game will hit its one year release date on June 1, 2023. Maybe that's a good day to throw in more scenes? If you're looking for more than what I mentioned from this game I wouldn't bother installing it.1 found this helpful
