This Game is Simple

What can i say? This game really was simple. Walking simulator. Casual. Easy gameplay. No chance of getting lost. Nice game. Relaxing. Good performance and no crashes. Worth playing if you like walking simulators.

Not a great "game" to experience, but the narrator is a rich character who has a lot to say about the creative process. I went through it with both narrators, I slightly preferred the female one. In today's market where dozens of games get released everyday, trying to make something "unique" is virtually impossible. A lot depends on what your goal is with your game-if it's just to make something that you think is cool and want to show other people, that's a lot easier than trying to make something that you can sell. Even if you are trying to make a product you can sell, an important part of being an indie developer is knowing what you CAN reasonably make and not giving in to feature creep to try and compete with studios with hundreds of employees. If you have a perfectionist personality, making a game that you can be happy with can also be an incredible challenge.

I'm glad that I've found this game and that I've experienced it, it is wonderful in showing how ideas, motivation, the ups and downs of creating something (especially art: games, music, literature, etc) works. It shows the kinds of things every artist and developer struggles with: having inspiration, motivation, getting lost in the process and trying to find a way back...It is the exact thoughts and feelings that I'm personally fighting with almost every day, so thank you and congratulations on having the braveness to create a slow game, a game about making a game in a world that is always in a hurry, that is always seeking action, adventure, adrenaline. Respect!
