Sisyphus Reborn is a really good game 😄 You can either keep digging and making progress or just do nothing, but somehow the game still pushes you toward a meaningful goal 👏 The gameplay is simple but surprisingly addictive, and every bit of progress feels rewarding. It can be challenging and sometimes frustrating 😭 but that’s what makes finally moving forward feel so satisfying 💀

Sisyphus Reborn is a very short point and click adventure that is more interested in making me think than giving me a lot of things to do. I wake up in a strange world where everyone spends their time digging and nobody seems to die. I do not really know why I am there or what is going on, so most of the game is about exploring the place and trying to understand what this strange world is supposed to mean. The game is only around 30 minutes long, but I think that short length actually suits what it is trying to do. The atmosphere is easily the strongest part for me. The low resolution hand drawn artwork gives everything a very bleak and unusual feeling, while the soundtrack does a lot of the work when it comes to making the world feel empty and mysterious. I like that the game does not throw loads of information at me straight away. I am left to look around, talk to characters and slowly work out what is happening. It gives the whole thing a dreamlike feeling that makes the simple presentation work much better than I expected. The actual gameplay is very basic. When I was younger I would have seen this game as profound. Now I see it as a game trying to seem profound. YMMV. Still, it's free and short so WTH give it a try.

The good: A short game with a good story. The bad: gameplay absolutely terrible, half the time clicking the mouse does nothing, you cant adjust any settings, and you can't move using keyboard. For a free half hour game it's worth it, but I do wish they would fix the controls to actually work.
