About Size Matters

Size Matters is heavily inspired by "Inch by Inch" - special thanks to devs!
  • In Size Matters you take on the role of a scientist who has unintentionally ingested a chemical which causes him to shrink every second!
  • As you shrink, getting around the laboratory gets trickier, with the game essentially turning into a platformer as you
figure out ways to climb up onto where the equipment and ingredients are located!
  • Using the equipment, you need to manage to make an antidote in a limited time, before you shrink completely! Go through the formulas you find and follow them accurately!
  • Operate equipment such as: Chemical Processor, The Reverter, Code Combiner, Antidote Producer and more!
  • But beware, your time is very precious - you need to process ingredients using lab equipment all while searching for missing components or rearranging the lab so you're able to reach stuff when you're smaller!
  • Search the laboratory for ingredients and formulas which aid you to produce the three key components of the antidote!
  • Every formula is tied to one of the machines in the lab. You can produce new ingredients, which may be used in other formulas or are one of the three key ingredients you need for the antidote
  • Once you collect three key ingredients, place them inside the antidote producer to produce an antidote!
  • When you shrink too small the game is over!
  • Tweak all kinds of settings, such as the height at which you start, how many double jumps you can do, or how long it takes for the Chemical Processor to complete its process!

✦ AI summary

Players praise Size Matters as a fun, underrated time management game with a clever shrinking mechanic that creates engaging physics-based puzzles and customizable difficulty options. Common complaints center on clunky controls when handling objects, frustrating difficulty spikes on higher settings where dropping items feels more annoying than challenging, and the game's brevity, though most agree it's a worthwhile short experience that doesn't overstay its welcome.

[Future Gadget Laboratory Log #976700] This is me. I report that the newest future Gadget, the Shrinking Device is a failure. I repeat, a failure. I'm shrinking. Rapidly. The Organisation must have sabotaged the creation process somehow. Christina is nowhere to be found. The super hacka is probably playing eroge instead of answering his phone. Mayuri is so focused on making costumes for ComiMa, not even noticing me. Time is of the essence. I have to create an antidote before becoming too small to reach the laboratory equipment. Pray for my success. El Psy Kongroo. And that, dear reader, is essentially Size Matters. The premise is simple: you're a scientist who accidentally shrinks himself and must continuously create formulas for an antidote to reverse the effect while becoming smaller and smaller. Randomly generated formulas and item locations ensure a different challenge every game. The four base levels act as a progression system. Each one is harder than the last, gradually introducing new challenges while teaching you the fundamentals of the game. They're simple, fun, and a great way to learn how to survive your rapidly shrinking predicament. And once you've conquered thos…

Fun game, especially fun to speedrun! I got this game a while ago, but forgot about it for a while until I remembered that it existed, and then i realized that this game is actually pretty fun and underrated. Would recommend, very enjoyable.

At first, I didn’t even notice the shrinking mechanic, which made me laugh when I suddenly couldn’t reach the desk anymore. The game is mostly about time management. You’re following instructions and prioritizing tasks. “Crazy” difficulty was frustrating for me, since getting smaller often meant dropping items or losing liquids, which made things more annoying than challenging. The controls can also feel a bit clunky at times when holding objects. it’s a decent game for a few hours.

This game is short, sweet, and has fun customizing with chemical names. It doesn't try to overstay it's welcome with gimmicks or filler content. Great little time waster to enjoy, chill too, and customize difficulty for more challenge. I usually don't give much attention to shorter games, but there is just something fun and welcoming about the concept, style, presentation, and atmosphere. Simple, but fun. =)

A really cute physics puzzle game with lots of settings to go nuts with. I recommend it for a quick fix.
