Skip's Sanity is a really simple game built around a pretty fun idea. Instead of giving me one big game to learn, it throws loads of tiny games at me and makes me prove that I can handle them. Most of the early challenges only last around five seconds, and beating them lets me unlock more mini games. There are more than 50 games altogether, covering things like shooting, platforming, puzzles, sports and even simple RPG style challenges. I like how quickly it gets me into the action because I can fail something and immediately try again without having to sit through a long setup. The variety is definitely the strongest part for me. The games are all based around simple controls, with most of them using just one button apart from movement or direction controls when needed. That sounds extremely basic, but it works because each little challenge has to communicate what I am supposed to do almost immediately. Some tests are about reflexes while others make me think a little more carefully, so I am constantly switching between different types of challenges. Skip, милый на первый взгляд персонаж, начинает проявлять странные наклонности, а игрок вынужден сталкиваться с пугающими визуальными и аудио эффектами. Атмосфера нагнетается постепенно, начиная с незначительных сбоев и заканчивая настоящим кошмаром. Игра ловко использует мета-нарратив, стирая грань между виртуальным и реальным миром, заставляя задуматься о собственном здравомыслии. Несмотря на пиксельную графику, 'Skip's Sanity' умудряется создать напряжение, которое держит вплоть до самой развязки. Рекомендую всем, кто ищет не просто скримеры, а глубокий и продуманный хоррор с интересной историей и запоминающимся персонажем. Однако если у вас слабая психика, лучше воздержаться от этой игры.

The game is quick from the start, just like dumb ways to die. You need to figure out what to do to not lose life. After completing a level, you unlock the minigames and can play them without rush. Most minigames are fun and ease, some are mor difficult and one is broken :(
