SUPER 56

I paid £2.06 for this on a Steam sale... I feel like I've robbed the developer. This game is great. It definitely gives off Warioware vibes yet has it's own style. The minigames are fun, really love the cutscenes every time you level up... and I really love all the references to previous games from years ago (even on the start-up, the train to hell gives off a Half-Life vibe as it tells you the current temperature with the same kind of tanner voice as the one from HL. There's actually quite a bit of depth too with customization and unlocking bits as you progress.... This game was released 3 years ago, how it only has 145 reviews at point of me posting this review, I do not know! This game should be much more recognised. I only wish a sequel would come out as these guys really know how to create a fun game.

i thought this was going to be like warioware. it isn't

This is a very charming game that obviously styles itself after the Warioware games. However, there is a bit of difference between the two. The crux of this game is that everything can be operated by one button, including the menu. The games a bit longer than your usual warioware minigame, but the style and vibe are the same. It is a wildly absurd sense of humor that wacky first and foremost. One could misconstrue it for lolrandom, but I feel like there is a bit more purpose to it. The two main characters you are dealing with during the story are dumb, yet charming. The story itself is incredibly unserious and more a tone setter for the kind of ideas you should expect to be faced with. The love and heart are worn on the sleeves. I adore it for that. It is wacky for wacky's sake but that is wonderful at the end of the day. Honestly, it is just a game with some much charm and not just a random ♥♥♥♥-post game that I thought it would be. If you have any child like wonder left in your heart, I recommend it.
