Slingshot: Escape the solar system

Gravity is your enemy. It's also your only way out.

Slingshot is a pixel-art orbital mechanics arcade. One rocket. A limited fuel tank. Sun, planets and moons pulling at you from every direction. Thrust at the wrong moment and you're lost to the void. Thrust at the right moment and the solar system becomes a slingshot.

Launch. Explore. Crash.

You will die. A lot. Slingshot rewards patience, observation, and the slow build-up of orbital intuition. And also fuel management. Each crash teaches you something (or maybe not).

Spaceify is a music player. For astronauts. You don't know why yet, but every escape destination has it's own soundtrack you need to unlock. Open the Spacify tab in the pause menu to play them on demand.

How it plays

Launch from Earth. Burn to break the atmosphere. Then the solar system opens up. Mercury hugs the Sun, Venus waits patiently, Mars will throw you outward if you time it right, and Jupiter's gravity well is either your salvation or your grave. The trick isn't to thrust more. It's to thrust at the right moment : the bottom of your orbit, where every drop of fuel gives you the maximum boost. Learn to read the trajectory line. Learn to trust gravity. Learn to fall with style.

Escaping the solar system is just the beginning. Beyond the Sun's gravity well lies a map of reachable stars — Proxima Centauri, Barnard's Star, Sirius, and more. Each one is a different challenge, a different route, a different song. Some you'll stumble into. Others will take every tech upgrade, every trick, and every ounce of patience you've built up.
