About Snowman Story
This is the story of a snowman named Chris.
Brought to life one cold winter's day by a lonely boy in need of a playmate, Chris is content with his simple existence. But when a cackling crow reveals to him one night that he'll melt away as soon as the weather warms, Chris must embark on a long journey to a paradise far to the north, where it's said that snowmen can survive even the coming of spring.
Along the way, he'll encounter a host of friendly woodland critters who'll guide him on his trek, and help him tackle tricky ice puzzles whenever things get slippery. (Note that these puzzles are fully skippable for players who just want to enjoy the story!)
He'll also come across other snowmen who tried but failed to make the very same pilgrimage, and gain the ability to read the memories embedded in their melted remains. Hopefully, by learning how they met their tragic ends, Chris can avoid the same fate.
After all—what meaning can there possibly be in a life that lasts but a single winter?

Such a good story game. I didn't expect it to be like this when I first bought it but it was great. Nice 2-3 hour game, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for more story games.
This game was free, so I wasn't expecting a masterpiece. Among the very few puzzles and FAR TOO MUCH dialogue is a somewhat enjoyable game with some positive messaging, but is mostly just a prettily-pixilated waste of time.
Short, warm, cozy, cute. Perfect for the holidays and the story will hit you right in the feels ❤️ Game runs great on the deck. Love the old school graphics. Cute little soundtrack. Told my friends about this game. Will definitely support this dev in the future.
Snowman Story is another reminder of why I love Odencat’s games so much. After playing Meg’s Monster, which is one of my favorite games, I felt like I had to give this one a try. Playing it in December or January also felt perfect, as the winter atmosphere really adds to the experience. This game is very heavily focused on its story. Most of the time you are simply walking around and taking in what is happening, but there are small puzzles woven in between the story moments that help break things up. They are never overly difficult, but they fit the tone of the game well and keep you engaged without pulling you out of the narrative. What really stood out to me was the emotional balance. Snowman Story is undeniably sad and melancholic, but it also has moments that made me smile and even chuckle. Those lighter touches make the emotional beats hit harder and stop the game from becoming overwhelming. Overall, I loved every second of this experience. It is short, focused, and clearly made with a lot of care. If you enjoy story-driven games that are meant to be felt as much as they are played, Snowman Story is absolutely worth your time, especially during the winter months.
