About SOLARFLARE
SOLARFLARE is a byte-sized roguelike auto-battler set in a sci-fi dystopia. Fight (and probably die a bunch) to unlock Upgrades, experiment to find broken builds, and (eventually) obliterate the megacorp's bots.Defeat your varied opponents by building a robot army, sniping them from afar, rushing them down and impaling them on your spikes, or using EMP to disrupt their weapons (and also your weapon). Each Upgrade is weak in isolation, but combines explosively with other Upgrades you unlock.Choose wisely, scale wildly, and destroy your enemies in a riot of violence. As a new agent of SOLARFLARE, we solemnly promise that you will die. You will be drained by Needlers, excavated by Drillbots, and/or sniped from afar (yes, sorry, they have sniper rifles, too). Remember to review the combat log to figure out why you died! Alternatively, give up in a huff and try a different build. In this cold and indifferent galaxy, SOLARFLARE tries to be slightly warmer. We need the four of you to raid another megacorp, steal their equipment, sabotage their projects, and recruit their indentured employees. Don't worry, they started it.This is a tiny game, at a tiny price!I predict you'll have fun figuring out how the systems work, how not to die, and then how to win. You'll turn up the game speed and exult in the slaughter of your enemies for a little while. After you win the first time, it'll be pretty easy to win again. So I suggest turning up the difficulty to see just how good your build is (probably not to 10, that's a very high number). Look for a few other builds that utilize different Upgrades, and see how far you can get with those, too. When you're finished, if you really don't feel you've gotten your money's worth, you can return it! I promise not to be mad.On the other hand, if a lot of people like what they see here, I might add more. To make this more probable, let me know! It's a pretty nice little puzzle battler. For what it costs - it's absolutely 100% worth it.2 found this helpful
Deceptively simple and highly addictive. Starts off with only a few abilities (which is nice for learning the ropes), but there's a lot of nuance as you unlock more, and really takes a lot of thought to survive as the difficulty progresses. So many combinations and strategies to try too, such a fun game!1 found this helpful
Fun, light, satisfying game for folks who enjoy finding busted combinations of abilities with careful planning and buff/debuff management. Works on Steam Deck.
with the power of fortitude and rage I have brought Megacorp to its heels. A nice auto battler with satisfying upgrades.
This game presents itself well and in a straightforward manner. This hides a complexity that grows as you unlock more abilities that you get to learn to piece together into fairly varied and complex builds. It is very fun.
My first time trying out an auto-battler, and I am having a blast trying out all sorts of different strategies! The music is fantastic, and the feel of the game is super satisfying. Really glad I checked it out!
