About Something to Drink?

Welcome to the Bar
Something to Drink? is a 2D Bartender Simulator in Pixel Art style. Your job is to manage the bar and serve your thirsty patrons. Make sure the local drunks never experience the nightmare of sobriety!

Hard work pays off
You’ll take orders, mix their favorite drinks, and charge them according to the menu. Sounds easy? Think again - working with customers is pure hell. Out of all the jobs in the world, why did you choose this one?

Bartending is an Art
At first, you’ll mostly pour beers and shots. But over time, you’ll move on to fancy cocktails and more complex orders. Surprisingly, it’s kinda satisfying - you pour apple juice into vodka, and suddenly everyone looks at you like you’re some kind of alchemist.

Nothing surprises me anymore
Behind the counter, you’ll meet all sorts of strange and interesting people. Sometimes you’ll have to react to unexpected events and make important choices. Watch out for weirdos. As they say: “The tips suck, but at least the customers are insane.”

Fun game so far but the difficulty level increases dramatically each day. They give you an instruction booklet but there's no time to read it because all the customers arrive at once. Unlike Papers Please in which YOU control how many customers you help, this game throws a crowd of people at you who all want service RIGHT NOW. If they don't get it, some of them start insulting you. The customers could be spaced out a bit more, especially in the early part of the game. The pouring mechanism is very irritating. I play on a laptop so using the keyboard to pour makes it almost impossible not to spill. At least one of the customers scolds you if you spill even though they have no reason to be annoyed since they don't own the place. Would really fall in love with this game if they gave you a little time to get used to the bartending mechanism before they add 10 new drinks every day. And why is the price list written so illegibly? Also wish the dialogue would stay on the screen until clicked. Speed is important in this game obviously. But it feels like they set you up for failure at times. Wish some of the tools would stay in place. Having to move things around on the desk gets tedious. …

I'm realling enjoying Something to Drink. I've played for over 5 hours and new elements are still being added to keep it interesting. Making the drinks is fun and the story and humour is interesting too. It reminds me a bit of Not Tonight.
