Sorrow Asylum 2 is a looping horror game, a mix of an abandoned asylum and your mind's prison. The longer you stay, the deeper you sink.
Explore the asylum of sadness, where time stops, unless you progress by taking the calendar pages into your room down in the basement of the asylum. The longer you stay in this place, the more horrors will try and stop you, fix you, change you, the more the whole place gets affected by your presence.
You'll meet the creatures of such a place: Plague Doctor, a surreal creature Dalu and Lara, who shows up as a little girl this time.
The Plague Doctor may try to treat you, but he also does it painfully or simply stopping you from making the time move and damaging you in the process.
Your asylum neighbor in the other room is a little girl Lara, who's story about abuse and loneliness you'll get to experience in this 2nd game a lot more.
A new creature Dalu shows up, and he's fascinated with illness, with diseased patients, the creepy head monster brings an unsettling addition to the asylum with his eyes always following you.
The game has 15 day cycles to offer, where the asylum gets progressively more and more sinister and dangerous. The player has the options to run and hide, but often needs to simply confront the unknown and keep learning the story of this place and its citizens.
The evil can be locked up.
Prison. Grotto. Asylum.
These unsafe places will manifest through you.

You need to collect the calendar pages and bring them to your room. As you progress, you gain access to new rooms and encounter mysterious monsters/ghosts. The first and second parts are very similar, but there are differences: the structure of the location, its content and textures have been changed, two new characters have appeared (the monster Dalu in the form of a flying head and Lara in the form of a little girl), and the ending of the game has been changed. Now the ending of the game is positive: the main character understands that he is sick, wants to be cured and leave his "Sorrow Asylum" created by his sick mind. The main character thought that the shelter protected him from the outside world, from depression and fears, but it was his prison into which he locked himself. Sorrow Asylum 2 feels more like a prequel, as it features a young Lara. (not a burned chicken wing, just a normal child,) delving deeper into this game, it shows its not a prequel though. Honestly, not a load to say here, its like the first Sorrow Asylum, but a bit more claustrophobic, and it involves Laras past, (hence why I called it a prequel.) Positively spooky and interesting to follow. Voice acting is great, its truly spooky too. Back and forth in the same environment, some chases among other things. This game was....about what I expect from Vidas. Creepy, surreal, weird as hell but spooky enough. I enjoyed the game and had some fun with it, definitely had me on edge and gave me a few good chills.
