Space Force

Space Force is an endless 'runner' space game. In this game you can control your space ship and avoid obstacles by moving left or right... pickup powerups on the way if you desire to. Yes, that is the whole game. There are more than one space ship, thankfully, but the music is just one repetitive techno track. The graphics are acceptable, but they're really bland. The game has an insane oversight where you can fly either left or right and avoid everything, thus getting a potentially infinite highscore. What actually makes me opt to give this game a negative review is not because of how repetitive the game is (though that would be a valid point), but it's the price tag... $7? For one song and one map? Yeah, that's pushing it a little. Overall, overpriced, repetitive and has an oversight which gives zero incentive to try and reach a new highscore.

Goddang, after playing a ton of garbage games, when booting up this game at first I believed "Oh well, its not the most beautiful game, but it seems like this might actually be some fun!". Oh, how wrong I was. The base concept of the game is decent, something you couldve made a good game out of. Sadly, it remained being a couldve. The games balancing is out of whack, often times you just die and you cant do anything about it for the most part. The handling of the first vehicle is also very bad, but thats something you could call a design decision. There are a few powerups on the map: coins, speedup and slowdown. Hardly a lot of variety. The menu is probably based on a 1920x1080 monitor, so on my 2560x1600 monitor the textures are misaligned... If you go to the left of the map, the map doesnt have a border or is endless, no, you can just fly outside of the map making the game completely trivial, something I am honestly happy about, because the rest of the game isnt good either, so I preferred being done quickly with this thing rather than having to grind myself through it. [h2] Bad. Just. Bad. [/h2] [i]Space Force[/i] is an endless runner style game that has you operating a space ship, whilst avoiding the biggest threat, walls. There's a bunch of areas, like an area with spikes or an area with walls that constantly move. Your goal is to go as far as possible, whilst making use of the powerups the game provides you, like slow motion, or super speed. All of this is thrown out the window though when you realize you can fly out of the map, and gain a higher score that way, not having to deal with any dangers for as long as you can hold the A key or left arrow key. The game does have a shop, where you can spend credits, earned from one of the powerups, to buy skins, but honestly, I don't think anyone will play the game long enough to earn those. Even so, you don't get credits other than with the powerup. So if you fly out the map, you won't earn any anyway. There's no options button, just a play button, shop button and quit button. So you can't really change controls or anything like that. The music, while extremely repetitive, is actually a pleasant listen. If you buy this game at full price, I'm so sorry. Thanks for the free achievements, you made my profile look cooler. If you'd like some free achievements too, you can cheese the game entirely by going left or right till you go out of bounds. And one more thing... I'd be fine with this game being on steam... If it weren't for it's price. Why does this game cost money to play? it's horrible!

This game is kinda fun. The problem is with the portal things that give u power-ups and points. They are a bit of a death trap sometimes. Because u cant see what is behind them Also if you just want to get the Achievements you can fly either to the right or to the left of the map to get out of the map. Other than that its your typical endless runner. Overpriced, but fun when you get it for free.
