Really needs a tutorial. Didn't know that I needed to deposit ores in the miner, how to rotate the barrier, where the build-able areas are, and the toolbar on the right is hard to understand. (What does 'NAIL' mean when all the other text indicates keys on the keyboard.)

"SpaceMine" is a genuine attempt to make a tower defense/third person action game akin to Sanctum, only, well, a case of a developer biting off way more than he can chew. As a result, this comes across as a clunky alpha test of a game where you run around a mine and wonder what the hell you're supposed to do to mine ore and deposit it while also creating and placing defensive towers and other stuff to make it all possible. It's an incoherent mess with a sloppy, broken UI that unfortunately betrays an almost viable premise for a game. Honestly, just play Deep Rock Galactic or something. This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles, but released on Steam instead by mistake. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. As others have said, it really needs a tutorial. I eventually got a hang of it, and it could be good, but right now its just a bit too rough to be enjoyable for me.

Its fine. Might try it again. 6/10.
