spellinkers is a gem!! i LOVEEEE the visuals and the littlesound effects so much so far it has the perfect amount of difficulty imo and i love that you can buy (with your xp stars) upgrades as you see fit I LOVE IT AND!! IT HAS ACHIEVEMENTSSSSS (e pra quem é brasileiro: o jogo é nacional!! :'))

I had fun with this game. It's a new idea and they do a really good job of explaining how to play. My criticism is that you need a mouse to play, and I only have a Steam Controller, not a desktop setup. So it was a real pain to use the UI which takes many clicks from far left all the way far right, then back again far left, etc. A nightmare without a mouse, and in general in need of a serious UI overhaul. But that complaint would soften with mouse input. But, the game is fun, so if you have a traditional setup, if you like what you see then go for it. It is very competently made.

Prety cool strategy game and very easy to play.

In this video I take a look at Spellinkers*, a combat board game. **I play most of the tutorials in the video so I know how to play. To skip that and get a look at a full match jump to 33:00 in the video.** This one is like Checkers or Chess in an RPG. You need to take ownership of the board by building artefacts and attacking the enemies. Male pieces fight in a cross pattern while females fight in an x pattern. The pieces and the board’s tiles have elements represented by their colours which have a positive or negative effect on your pieces if they are matching or opposing. It's a nice and fun thinking game but you will need to play the tutorials if you want any chance at success. The music however, got very annoying for me. I think it's a like it or hate it music but it can easily be disabled in the settings. Don't let the low price and cutesy graphics fool you. This is a well-planned and balanced strategy board game with an AI opponent. It is not frustratingly difficult, but it gives your brain a lot more exercise than a typical RPG or Plants vs Zombies defense game. It also keeps you guessing by throwing in some randomization and a bit of a skill requirement. I can't make sense of how all the fighters are spherical floating heads with magic powers, but overall it was addictingly fun.
