Spinning_Kid

Spinning_Kid is a small-scale puzzle platformer that takes a familiar genre and gives it an entertaining twist through environmental rotation. Instead of depending entirely on traditional running and jumping, players can rotate the level by 90 degrees, changing the orientation of the environment and creating new ways to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Developed by Dnovel and published by Conglomerate 5, the game keeps its ambitions focused, concentrating on spatial puzzles and gravity manipulation rather than attempting to build an overly complicated adventure. Players control KID, an inventive rabbit traveling inside a peculiar capsule capable of manipulating the world around him. The character and premise give the experience a lighthearted personality, but the story remains secondary to the puzzles. Although the game follows ideas introduced in Gravity_Kid, its adventure can be approached independently. There is little need for extensive knowledge of previous events because the primary attraction is discovering how the rotation mechanic changes each level. This is a fun game, but it took me 6 minutes to beat. I had to let the game run for an extra 4 minutes just to meet the 10 minute minimum to leave a review. Even at 99 cents it might still be overpriced since it is over so very fast.

10 Levels. Finished in 9 Minutes .. It says more levels to be added soon. That was 4 years ago. This game has potential, but I just paid $1 for 9 Minutes of an incomplete game.

Definitely not recommended. Don't expect a finished game, this is only a prototype. It has 11 levels which are easily completed in 5 minutes. Not much else to say, except stay away.

Wow, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Great mechanics, simple puzzles, relaxing music and VERY satisfying physics. Well done. Only thing I would like to see is more. Thanks!

Cool little game. Got it in a bundle of 5 games for £2 so was worth it for what it was. More complex levels in the future would be a nice addition, and would bring me back. A nice and simple quick game. :)
