[h1] 1 vs 1 pong battle. To be praised are nice 8-bit like visuals. Gameplay might seems a bit boring though. Use spells to your advantage and after 10 or so battles game ends leaving you with wasted time. Still managed to complete this one. [/h1]

I've played many pong clones, and this is not one of the better ones. Ball physics and collision boxes are messy. The single player mode, which is just a short arcade mode, introduces win/loss mechanics without explaining them (I have no clue why the game decided I won/lost certain matches). The pixel art is nice at a glance, but a lot of it ends up being improperly scaled (especially text) resulting in blurry or misaligned graphics. There's more to this game then I've seen, but I've seen enough to not care anymore.

Some dialogues are not even finished, some achievement are either bugged or too tedious to get and for some reason I finished hard faster than normal so AI might even not be balanced.

Somehow fun but buggy and clunky control.

When I bought Spiritsphere DX I was looking for a pong or air hockey style game and I kinda got that. I do understand that this game is supposed to be a multiplayer experience and I only played it by myself, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. However I do believe that this game has a lot of issues that go beyond “it would be more fun with friends”. If you shoot the ball straight towards the CPU they will return it perfectly straight the ball will not go any faster or bounce towards the side or anything, you can keep this up until the end of time. However the first player that deviates from this is at a disadvantage, so if you decided to shoot the ball at an angle the CPU now can hit you with a shot that might even be impossible to defend against if you are using one of the weak characters. In general attacking is almost always a bad move in hard mode and the best way to play is by being defensive and just wait until the ai takes mercy on you and lets you score which is pretty lame. Another problem I have is with aimed shots, it is not possible to do a special attack close to the net and then back up because if you do that you basically redirect the shot towards your own go…
