Sporadic Spire

"Sporadic Spire" is a very poorly made low poly tower defense game that looks to be the result of slapping a bunch of Unreal assets on a 3D tower defense game blueprint (mind you, the assets are laughably simple so maybe they are legit... and indistinguishable from flipped ones). There's a lighting gimmick that doesn't change anything, and the developer was too lazy to properly bother balancing the game or creating challenging levels so just went with "Procgen IS content!" and phoned that one in. Ultimately, a lazy half-baked effort that failed to garner any interest from gamers. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... it's showing a bit of age and won't give you a very up-to-date gaming experience. …

Простота в освоении подкупает, а нестандартная механика, где каждая новая локация предлагает выбор из случайных перков, задаёт тон каждому забегу. Отсутствие глубокого сюжета компенсируется реиграбельностью и возможностью экспериментировать с различными стратегиями. Графика минималистична, но визуально привлекательна, а музыкальное сопровождение не надоедает даже после нескольких часов игры. Однако, некоторая случайность в генерации перков иногда приводит к заведомо провальным забегам, что может расстроить. Кроме того, игра не предлагает большого разнообразия врагов, что со временем может показаться однообразным. В целом, 'Sporadic Spire' – это хороший выбор для тех, кто ищет непринужденную и увлекательную игру на короткие сессии. This game HAS the potential to be good, but there's just several things about it that make it uncomfortable to play. - Camera controls are a bit not ideal; holding RMB to move is abysmal, no camera rotation for a very 3D board, and camera movement feels slow (again, due to needing to hold RMB, so you're essentially DRAGGING the camera, not moving it) - Dedication to daylight cycle kinda goes to the point that even YOU as the player cannot see; night lasts for several waves which cost you valuable time and planning as each wave gets harder (and trying to light up the board with dozens of lamps would probably become tedious) - UI is pretty lacking, especially with how you cannot cancel placing a tower and have to cancel via returning to the buy menu and then cancel - Zero preparation for each wave too. It's not just the night time or weather you have to worry about, you literally do not get to choice with the first or subsequent waves start, and you have like 20 seconds to set up (in a better game or if it was not a player's first time, this might not be as big of a concern) I probably cannot explain the issues better than someone else whose better at explaining things, but I think …
