-SPROUT- (2020)

I'm reviewing Steam games in Alphabetical order, and you can watch my review here: https://youtu.be/WrTEqTBjqWY Prefer to read? -SPROUT- is a retro-styled precision platformer that draws heavy inspiration from Celeste Classic. Every level is a single screen and takes seconds to complete, but the variety of mechanics and clever level design, combined with extremely solid controls makes for an incredibly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The game is designed with speed-running in mind and will automatically track your time through each of the 5 zones and 100 levels. The icing on the cake is the wonderful music by Failpositive. -SPROUT- is a short experience, but if you love fast paced platformers like Celeste and Super Meatboy, you'll enjoy every minute of it.

2.4 hours of fun :D After Celeste, this was a nice little throwback! 10/10 The Achievements are glitched tho? It isn't showing up on my 100% List or any Achievement List on my profile. Idk what's wrong with it.

A very lovely small game, that has some really neat music. You would think the game would be played really quickly, but if you challenge yourself to get some of the achievements, you get much more content out of it and you get to listen to the great soundtrack. I absolutely recommend this!

Really nice platformer especially, I love that there is a lot of speedrun potential as the levels are short and can be done in many different ways, and also if you wanna have some more challange picking up optional collectibles is a good way to challange yourself. My only problem with this game is that the pause button does not really pause the game as the timer keeps on going and the game still progresses while you're in menu, this is not really an issue if you are not going for these additional collectibles but if when trying to get one you accidentaly happen to pass to next level pause button will not help you with that and you have to restart the whole stage and get to that stage with the collectible again.

"-SPROUT-" is a nice little precision platformer with tight controls and fast-paced gameplay, featuring colorful and distinctive worlds both aesthetically and gameplaywise. You can beat it blind in about an hour and can start running and achievement-hunting it afterwards. One minor complaint: The walljump feels very restrictive in its angle.
