I want to enjoy this game but I simply can't because of a few really annoying things [olist] [*]If you place the sapling on a surface whose angle is slightly off, you get sent in a completely different direction, which is especially bad with walls where most of the time you just get sent down into the void [*]Sometimes it's completely unclear what the game expects you to do so you get stuck in the same area [*]Doing something even slightly off can cause you to not have enough speed to reach the next island [*]Restarting from a checkpoint makes it pretty inconvenient to gain speed [/olist] Even considering that I'm bad at the game it's not fun when I keep dyin due to things I can't control2 found this helpful
It's far more difficult than it looks. Maintaining momentum and successfully hopping from one island to the next while shooting enemies moving in the air as you fall was too hard and I didn't feel like retrying levels over and over again. So unless you're naturally good at games or want to spend a long time mastering the game to actually play and enjoy it, you're probably going to fall and die a lot, or at least not play as well as the gameplay in the trailer.1 found this helpful
Starts out as a bit of a puzzle figuring out how to use the sapling ability, then switches to a much more sandbox-ish feel in the later levels when you have more abilities. I didn't expect a beautiful orchestral soundtrack but very happy it's there. Good game.
Very awesome game. Played for 80 minutes and I'm already obsessed. Definitely recommend
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ If you are a fan of momentum based platformers, this game is an absolute MUST-play. The game is quite short, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it was one of the most enjoyable, fun, SATISFYING games I've ever completed. In total it took me a little over an hour and a half to beat but damn. For the price, get this game. Support the developer, they clearly loved the game they made and prioritized making fun mechanics over making the game overly long. (That being said some DLC/free updates would be really nice ;) ). It is genuinely a crime that only ~400 people have completed this game(at the time of the review being made) Buy this game PLEASE
This game has very solid movement system but not enough time to take advantage of it. By the time you unlock what feels like just your basic move set the game is basically over. The games price reflects this fairly though, I just wish it was longer. Oh and the music tracks for each of the three worlds are very good.
