Micro Platformer is a dainty little game that I fondly enjoy. It is very apparent through the title, gameplay, and visuals that this game is very simplistic. However, that aspect does not work against it. Micro Platformer is structured as a game that tests your mechanics and is very easy to pick up and play in any situation, while talking on the phone, watching something, listening to music. It functions more as a brain teaser than a breathtaking experience. But for what it is, this game fulfills that niche very nicely. However, this game can be taken much more serious if you desire. There are speedrunning roots deep into this games structure, with you being timed on both level and world completion. If swift platforming is your style, then this game can be something more than just a throwaway if you make it. Personally, I'm not the type who is enticed by this type of gameplay but it's there for people who want it. Unfortunately, the game is seemingly abandoned by it's developer. The game has been in the same state it has been for years, awaiting a "big update" that is never coming.
