Star Crafter

Planets have no atmosphere and there are no enemies in the game, which is important for a survival game. Although the tech tree is complex, nothing is automated, so much of this game is just waiting and running back and forth to different planets just to get the resources you need to craft another item just to progress into the tech tree. I think the concept of this game is good, but the execution isn't all that great. I think there are better space survival games out there.

Star Crafter is a science-fiction sandbox that embraces the fantasy of becoming an architect of the cosmos. Such a simple game with a straight-forward premise - you craft. You gather materials, and you craft and you make micro-planets, which lets you gather more stuff and...craft more stuff. That's it. And I love it for being that simple. It's like Satisfactory only tiny. Your only goal? Craft. Grind. Craft some more. Sure you have health and hunger, but it's...well, honestly not worth paying attention to, besides shoving the odd strawberry into your face. It's almost refreshing in a world of complicated games with intricate systems just to have something so simple.

Pretty good; nice progression; build new planets; gather various resources across the solar system

I really wanted to like this game as it's been on my list since I played the demo months ago. I was willing to put up with a certain amount of bugginess as it's got a smaller developer feel to it. It's certainly has a prettiness to it even though it's fairly simple. The digging laser inconsistently will add terrain instead of removing it with no reason for it. The final straw for me was when it randomly teleported me to the other side of the sun. I tried to make my way back to the home planet, but got caught in the gravity of the moon I had created earlier with no way back to home planet. Trying "unstuck" dumped me back on moon.

This game is awesome. Big thumbs up over here. I'm really enjoying this.
