About Stevedore 2024
Shift that freight in a hurry without incurring disaster in this physics simulation action RPG. Pauly is an over-the-road trucker sucked into the world of the longshore industry. Learn to drive some of the oddest vehicles on the planet as you snatch up tons of goods destined for faraway countries. Keep that vertigo in check as you work from a bird's nest forty meters directly above your fellows. And it's going to take a little digging to solve the mystery of your overly friendly but strangely elusive cargo operations manager, the Stevedore.
Sure, you know trucking, but what about twist-locks? How about bombcarts? What's a snatch zone? Maneuver through the port yard without getting your trailer hung up on logs or containers, and through tight spaces without endangering the hard-working folks of the harbor while doing it. It's a lot different from just watching the miles disappear on the highway.
This remote harbor's going through some... labor difficulties. Step up to serve your own needs, and maybe you'll be helping out the teamsters as well. If nobody's there to unload your truck, well, the door was unlocked, right?
Three separate classes of industrial cranes form the meat and potatoes of this longshore work simulator. Drive the Straddle Crane. Maneuver the Rubber Tire Gantry. And climb into the birds' nest of the towering Ship to Shore Crane, the kind of crane you see from miles around the bay.
This facility is in a pinch, and maybe you're just the one to set it in motion in the right direction. Could be, the longshore life is made for you and your special talents in getting the cargo on its way.
And between it all, maybe there's a little time for a siesta... a snooze on the beach... a relaxing moment of daydreams, and trips to exotic ports of haul...
This game is a passion project by a solo developer, to explore this fascinating industry and bring those big cranes to life. Needs multiplayer and invert axis options.
Great game although it needs some quality of life fixes: - Main menu is insanely loud - In settings, allow to change the Monitor. - Maybe have right thumb stick to control camera/pan Recently Saber released/announced a similar game called 'Docked.' Maybe steal a few ideas/concepts from them. Bugs: - Currently for some reason it plays on my second monitor instead of my main monitor
