This game has unique movement that is rare in 2D platforming shooters. You can enter a stance which gives your character physics similar to a rag doll. While in this state you can adjust the position of your body. This allows you to dodge in various ways and it improves your movement across platforms. The weapons are fun to use since most of the projectiles are affected by gravity letting you land satisfying long range shots on enemies that are behind cover. There is also build variety. Helmets modify your characters stats by giving them various buffs and debuffs. I played the older browser version of this game and tried many viable play styles. There are tanky melee builds, high dps spam, burst damage builds and many more. It is also modable so it can have many interesting maps and game-modes in the future created by the community.5 found this helpful
Insanely high skill cap. Fast pace that requires high actions-per-minute to be pro. The simplicity of it coupled with manipulating the physics of your character to peak/shoot and find angles is what makes it great for PvP. StickForge has far more potential than I think most people realize. It feels like it was originally designed as a casual stick-fighting game that didn’t take itself too seriously, but the skill ceiling is incredibly high. The variety of weapons, equipment, and tactical combinations available to teams gives it the foundation to become a genuinely competitive game.1 found this helpful
I truly do think this game has a lot of potential. I had fun playing with my friends for a spell and the graphics and physics reminded me of old school flash games. I hope to see much more content added soon and something like peer to peer hosting and single player. :]1 found this helpful
