About Stratogun
In another timeline, Stratogun would have been the cabinet eating your pocket change at the local arcade. This is a modern revival of the classic 1980s space shooters, fast, unforgiving, and impossible to put down. Shoot, dodge, and outmaneuver swarms of enemies as you chase higher scores and unlock new ships, weapons, and perks. The question isn’t whether you’ll die, but how long you can last.
Deep inside, Stratogun is a lightning-fast space shooter where precision is survival. Every run turns chaos into progress as your score fuels new ships, weapons, and perks. The Red Orbit never lets up, and when the screen fills with fire and noise, only instinct keeps you alive. Wireframe-inspired visuals meet explosive effects and a pounding synth soundtrack, bringing back the heart of the arcade with a modern edge. If you ever wished arcades still existed, this is your ticket back, no quarters required.

The game is very straightforward, and its objective is immediately clear. You fly around an orb-like stage, destroying space rocks, debris, and various threats that spawn all over the arena. Your primary weapon is a gun that allows continuous fire, but holding the trigger too long causes it to overheat, forcing you to wait a few seconds before shooting again. To avoid this, you can briefly release the trigger to cool it down more quickly. You are not limited to this weapon, though. Other guns behave more like traditional firearms and require either manual reloading or automatically reload after the last bullet is fired. In addition to your weapons, you have a dash ability and bullet time. Dash is a bit limited because it’s dangerous to use with constant chaos and obstacles. Bullet time slows everything down for a second or two, giving you a chance to escape tricky situations. The final part of your arsenal consists of items. There are several options available, but the classic bomb remains the most effective, clearing the entire area around you. Every ability consumes one of three available charges when used. Dash and bullet time share one charge pool, while items use a separate…3 found this helpful
I picked up this budget title for the PC because of the VR capabilities and steam leaderboards, The VR mode is something that the PlayStation version doesn't have. Recommended little score chaser! Easily get lost inside it's world especially playing in VR.1 found this helpful
Simple, repetitive, satisfying gameplay. Good techno music. Decent visuals. Rogue-like structure with a well implemented upgrade system that let you improve your ship every new "run". That's a VERY GOOD game, if you like old arcades & vectors & shooters, that's for you.1 found this helpful
Wonderful super stardust meets vector asteroids with a Jeff Minter VR twist style arcade treat.
Fun game for people who didn't spend their childhood at arcade halls chasing high scores.
Absolutely fantastic just the kind of game I've been waiting for a mix of asteroids and geometry wars, with a killer soundtrack and plenty of unlocks along the way, its difficult but well worth the effort! It comes off very polished and the VR functionality is great with a gamepad!
