You may need to edit controller bindings on WMR.[/i] This is a bullet hell, shoot 'em up. Similar to Xortex, but instead of having the ship in your hand (motion controller), you are the ship. So you'll have to move your body all around ... on top of also moving your hands all around to shoot & deflect projectiles. There's several power-ups you can collect to enhance your weapons. You'll also have special and ultimate abilities to help clear out enemies. There are 3 total stages (environments) and 5 levels in each stage. You have 3 lives (plus any bonus lives you pick up) to finish the stage or else you have to restart from the beginning. I found this quite difficult on normal difficulty. So I did end up playing most of the game on easy mode. Even on easy mode, it was quite the challenge. Strike VR is a VR exclusive rail shooter (ho hum) with a sci-fi theme and remarkably low production values. It's not an asset flip, it's just bad. Fly on a rail and shoot stuff and pretend to dodge stuff, all in VR. I wonder why gamers overwhelmingly rejected this. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the mid 2000s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. [h1]Really impressive and well made game 100% worth the $$$ 10/10 would recommend to everyone[/h1] Everything was just done right. I've played my fair share of shmups and this envisions those in a VR space perfectly. I was blown away by the quality and consider this game to be a hidden gem everyone should play. It offers plenty of options to make the game accessible to everyone including different difficulties, a thorough tutorial, and graphics settings. It has intense boss battles like you'd come to expect from shmups, and a lot going on as the levels/stages get more intense. I'm confident you won't regret getting this game. Even if you don't take my word for it, there's a demo you can try which gives a great idea of what the game is like. [u]Played on Valve Index with a Ryzen 7 3700X and RX 5700XT using default graphics settings and 120hz refresh rate with auto resolution scaling.[/u]

Ever wanted to pretend you're a Gundam pilot? Look no further. Fun shoot 'em up action in VR. Shoot, dodge, and upgrade. Easy to pick up and play and does require some degree of skill. It's lit.

Fun for an hour or two, but pick it up on sale.
