Summer Adventurers: Mediterranean

This is an enjoyable simple game that I played while taking breaks from work. It could use more variety in the objects you need to find as they were reused in most levels.

I don't mind an easy, quick mindless HO game from time to time.....I've played plenty. But this game is REALLY EASY and REALLY QUICK. It only has 40 HO scenes with a quick mini game thrown in about every 3rd level. 2 or 3 of the mini games are where you have to pair items that are in a clutter and the hit zone is not accurate at all. I could only recommend this game on a deep sale and only for young children,

The game takes you through 40 stages that must be completed in order, though you can always replay any of them later through a simple and easy-to-use map screen. The whole adventure is themed around cities across the Mediterranean, with every stage opening with a short fact about the city you’re visiting. Each level itself is built around a photograph of one of that city’s famous landmarks, which gives the game a nice travel-journal atmosphere. Gameplay stays relaxed and never buries you under annoying restrictions. You can click freely anywhere on the screen, and there’s even a relaxed mode that disables the timer completely. Even with the timer enabled, though, it’s generous enough that finishing scenes rarely feels stressful. The mechanics will feel familiar to fans of classic hidden-object games. Objects are scattered across detailed scenes, sometimes placed logically and other times tucked into spots that are a bit of a stretch. Still, the amount of clutter is restrained compared to many games in the genre. The screens never feel like an explosion of random items thrown into impossible locations. I really enjoyed the game. It reminds me of the old school games I used to play on my uncles computer. It's the kind of game that you can play whenever and just relax.

It's a hidden picture game it's fine. What's missing, is details on progression. Are we unlocking for points, completion stars or what? What is the trigger that unlocks the next stages cause I'm stuck at level 15 I've got 90 minutes in the game, all 12 or 13 actual hidden picture maps are 100% and I still can't open level 16. But there's nothing telling me why that might be. What's the point of buying objects? What's the point of collecting the heart and diamond? The circle in the bottom left of the object area, is apart of the map to find things, but there's nothing that tells you that. There are mini-games which are enjoyable, but also short lived. I posted days ago on the discussion about my progression issue, it's been several days and my question goes unanswered. With 3 discussion topics as a whole, two of which are mine I'd expect some kind of poke in by the developer. ... I refunded the game, it's got maybe 30 minutes of actual content.
