First thing you should know, is this is a browser game. You press F11, for full-screen. Even with the in-game help, the larger puzzles are impossible because there are just too many combinations. Kakuro should offer different levels of difficulty. Even with the update, most grids have large open spaces. There are still multiple solutions to puzzles. Kakuro should only have one unique solution. There is no ability to save your puzzle and come back to it later. There's no option to Undo your last move. The puzzles do not use the available screen space. The update introduced a new problem where the restart takes a long time to work on larger puzzles, or locks the game up, where you cannot not exit.

If you're used to published Kakuro puzzles, you may not like this collection very much. I got this on a steam sale, since I like Kakuro puzzles, but as soon as I began I started to see something wrong. These puzzles allow for multiple possible solutions. In all of the published puzzles I've done, the portions that you can deduce down to exact answers provide you with the clues you need to pare down the rest of the puzzle. With this collection, even on the smallest puzzles, there are no definitive deductions. You can pare down each box to possible solutions, but eventually you just pick a number in one box and trace your way around in the hopes of not running into later errors. The boxes in larger puzzles are small, and you can't use the number keys to input solutions or possible solutions. You have to lean in and meticulously click tiny numbers, which may be difficult on a small screen. There is no option to zoom in.

Super Kakuro, developed and published by Dr. Cyril Splutterworth, is a logic-focused puzzle game that brings the classic number puzzle Kakuro into a digital format. Often described as a hybrid between Sudoku and crossword puzzles, Kakuro challenges players to fill grids with numbers that satisfy specific sum conditions while avoiding repeated digits within each group. Super Kakuro presents this traditional puzzle concept in a clean and accessible PC experience, emphasizing careful reasoning and methodical problem-solving rather than fast reflexes or story-driven gameplay. The game is designed primarily for players who enjoy brain-training puzzles and number logic challenges. The core gameplay is based entirely on the Kakuro puzzle system. Each puzzle grid is composed of blank cells where players must place numbers from 1 to 9. Alongside these cells are clue tiles that indicate the sum that must be reached by the numbers in the connected row or column. The challenge comes from the fact that no number can be repeated within the same group of cells, which forces players to analyze possible combinations and determine the only correct arrangement that satisfies all the clues simultaneo…

Puzzles are unreasonably hard and I'd be shocked if they were guaranteed to be unique. Interface is junk. You click each number in each cell you want to mark, you can't select multiple cells and enter the same numbers in each. You can't even use your keyboard for anything. Board only calculates sum errors, not logical errors like multiple of the same digit. Limited number of hints allowed per level based on how large it is.
