Super Toy Cars 2 is a handheld (Switch) ported arcade "mini-racer" which is to say the racetracks are set up like gigantic childrens playrooms and other domestic scenes instead of realistic racetracks. The game is more arcadey than simulationist as the tracks feature numerous obstacles like building blocks and scissors, and likewise the racing is somewhat adversarial. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, that doesn't change much because the game has a fixed render scale... so everything looks blurry no matter what resolution you set. Own a 4K or 5K display? Chuck it out the window, it's useless here. Yeah. Zero effort expended porting this from the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, …5 found this helpful

Most achievements are not working - reason for thumbs down. Game itself is somewhere 5-6 / 10. Not great, not terrible.3 found this helpful

It embraces a playful, toy-like identity, placing players in environments where kitchen counters, school desks, and outdoor picnic setups become sprawling circuits filled with obstacles and hazards. The result is a game that prioritizes fun and accessibility over realism, offering a fast-paced experience that feels immediately familiar while still carrying its own sense of charm. The driving mechanics sit firmly in the arcade category, focusing on responsiveness and ease of control rather than simulation. Cars accelerate quickly, cornering is tight, and drifting plays a central role in maintaining speed and gaining an edge during races. Mastering this drift system becomes essential, especially as tracks become more demanding and opponents more aggressive. While the handling is generally smooth, it occasionally feels inconsistent during collisions or when interacting with certain environmental elements, which can disrupt the flow of a race in unpredictable ways. Track design is one of the ga…1 found this helpful
A marked improvement over its predecessor, and shows a lot more originality. Still not the most amazing game out there but still a pretty fun Hot Wheels-like.1 found this helpful
