The poorly made first game Survive in Angaria, didn't need a sequel. Alas, here we are. Another mediocre RPG with no tutorial nor guidance again, a weak story and goal, as well as a poorly developed day/night cycle. I dislike the night cycle because of how insanely dark it is; even if you make a campfire you're still restricted in movement and how far you can go. At that point, just make a sleep period, like Minecraft to skip the restricted visual and movements during the night cycle. The graphics are nothing new nor stunning for a low-budget indie game. I'm still not impressed, and do not recommend Survive in Angaria 2.4 found this helpful
Let me be perfectly clear, I've played this game for half an hour. While I do appreciate the nice 8-bit graphics and see the game as a product of love, the night/day mechanics feel gimmicky to me and don't really invite me to play any more of Angaria 2. Playing through the night just feels bad and straining on the eyes, and sure - you can light a campfire to give yourself some light. But then you need to schedule your exploration so you are around the campfire whenever it gets dark. This might sound like a "dose of realism" to the game, but in my experience it just made it more tedious and lot less fun. Finally, the reason I called this mechanic gimmicky is because I feel it adds nothing to the game, only makes it drag a little bit longer. And it's a bad sign if you need to pull something off to make a game last for 2 hours (which is, from what I was told, what an average play-through of Angaria 2 lasts.)3 found this helpful
A confusing RPG maker game with an really annoying day and night circle (you can't really see anything at night) that doesn't explain itself and there is no tutorial to at least get you started. Not worth anyone's time.1 found this helpful
