Why is this game called Swam when there's no swimming in it? Why is the money yellow tennis balls called "Vops?" Why? What? Why? I do like the effect of blob guts spilling everywhere as you move, though.

Thousands of retro 2D platformers are infesting Steam, and "SWAM" is just more pollution in a crowded market of terrible games. There are over 17,000 platformers on Steam, literally thousands (you can go see for yourself if you search for the platformer tag on the store, I'm not kidding). And this is far from being one of the best of those. This poorly made platformer is "narrative heavy" but takes most of the inspiration (to the point of being a ripoff) from Super Meat Boy, focusing on fast and frenetic precision platforming and offending gamers with truly terrible graphics. This is a tired, outdated experience from a tired, outdated and obsolete game genre. Just a couple of platformers out of literally thousands have any appeal for gamers lately (Super Meat Boy, Hollow Knight etc). This "me too" Steam Direct platformer in a crowded genre offers nothing new. It's "free", but [i]free[/i] doesn't mean [i]good.[/i] The graphics here are particularly awful, some of the laziest pixelcrap ever to offend gamers eyes, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Визуальный стиль минималистичный, но очень приятный глазу, а успокаивающая музыка идеально дополняет расслабляющую атмосферу. Механика игры основана на перемещении разноцветных шариков по лабиринтам, чтобы собрать все соответствующие им по цвету фрагменты. Поначалу задачи кажутся простыми, но постепенно сложность возрастает, требуя от игрока не только логического мышления, но и пространственного воображения. Особенно радует то, что нет никаких временных ограничений или штрафов, что позволяет полностью сосредоточиться на решении головоломки и наслаждаться процессом. Единственный незначительный минус – небольшое количество уровней. Хотелось бы больше контента, чтобы растянуть удовольствие. В целом, 'SWAM' – отличная игра для тех, кто хочет расслабиться, потренировать свой мозг и насладиться красивым и минималистичным геймплеем. Рекомендую!
