It has a good foundation, but automatically clearing rows you've completed is very annoying. It's a bit of a slow process and, during the animation, prevents you from making any moves. That's because the playing field changes since it's removing a row and compressing downwards. The game also just forces you to guess at times. I don't know if it's because the row removals, but it doesn't make sense in a game that's supposed to be based in logic. Kept playing a bit more, and the game still sucks. I found out there's a setting that ups the speed of animations, which helps line clearing, but the glaringly obvious issue is still there. You have to guess in this game. The developer even admits this, in a discussion post, and tries to appease people by telling them to utilize the strategy of working the top of the field only and using the bottom for when you're forced to guess. That doesn't fix a damn thing. It got me to 100% difficulty, but then I was forced to guess and the game was over. JUST FIX BOARD GENERATION SO WE'RE NOT FORCED TO GUESS

A fun and original take on Minesweeper. Overall, the game is good, with some really fun achievements, especially the 'Find an 8' one, since you can actually craft it, and the 'Clear 1000 lines in one game' challenge, which requires a lot of patience and concentration. However, achieving 100% completion is quite grindy, with a lot of farming needed for the 10k lines and 50k flags achievements.

I've been a Minesweeper addict for years and I've tried a lot of variants out there, but this is honestly one of my favorites. I love the continuous gameplay, so I can get the satisfaction of playing an hour-long board, without having to scroll around a giant board like most variants. This game also introduced to me a brand new way to play - where you go through the game without placing any flags. And it's even got achievements for that. Some people complain about the difficulty curve, which essentially introduces more and more guesswork the further in you get. If that's not what you're looking for, there are other variants out there that specifically eliminate the 50/50 scenarios. To me, I don't mind because guesswork and luck has always been a key part of Minesweeper. No matter how good you are, you can still lose, and that's what makes it such an addicting game. At the end of the day, it's cheap, can run on even the crappiest of computers, and has trading cards and challenging achievements. Even if you're not a Minesweeper freak, you'll likely get some enjoyment out it.
