You must travel across multiple letters in an attempt to save your friends - various letters of the alphabet. [h1]Graphics[/h1] Switch - Or Die Trying - is described by the developers in the Steam store page as a cute-sy game with adorable characters, and they're not wrong. The graphics in the game are pretty well done and fit in with the children's storybook/picturebook storyline. Anytime you wish to change levels, for example replaying a level to try to get a higher score, you are quite literally put into the pages of a storybook, and you can choose the level you wish to play by walking around and selecting the page, which is quite neat in my opinion. My only problem with the art in the game is that it can be pretty dark and I would expect a storybook to be more colorful, but it isn't too hard on the eyes. [h1]Audio & Soundtrack[/h1] Switc…

First time I ever asked for a refund via Steam. The game itself is kinda cute, but the controls are horrible! I played the game with an Xbox One wireless controller. The game require finely tuned controls, but they are far from it which results in a very frustrating gameplay. I've played many games with "bad" controls and always gotten use to it, but this is just way too bad. I find this game impossible to play and I would never recommend it to anyone.

My initial impression is mixed. I really want to like this game. It is a very interesting and unique idea. The graphics and music are appealing. But there are two very serious problems, either one of which would mean that I cannot recommend this game. 1. For a game that advertises as being "hard-core", and "you will die all the time", the restarts are TOO SLOW. This is cardinal sin number one for this type of game. I don't want to listen to a sound effect and wait for a full second of black screen to try again. 2. For a game with a time goal on every level (and from what I'ven seen so far, generally very tight), there absolutely needs to be a single button to press to restart the level. Instantly (see point 1 above). May I suggest the Select button? Worse than this, how can it possibly be the case that there isn't even a "Restart" option in the pause menu? Who possibly thought this was a good idea? From what I can tell, the only way to restart the level is to (a) find a way to die (see point 1 above), or (b) open the menu, exit the level, confirm the dialog that pops up, and select the level again. We're talking approximately 10 seconds here. Each time you want to start again.

Plenty of fun, challenging, nice soundtrack, enjoyable mechanics, and honestly just a great puzzle game. If you enjoy tough platformers like Super Meat Boy, this should be a very good experience.

Fun little platformer. I hate lvl 1-8 though. The difficulty jump from the previous and to be honest the successive levels is insane. I died about 100 times and still didn't beat it for some reason. Wasn't enough to keep me away from the game though. Interesting double jump mechanic keeps it interesting.

This game is pretty fun. It's not something I would necessarily sink hours into, but it's a nice, relaxing puzzler. The music is pretty nice as well. Also, the developers support Linux!
