I rarely quit a game after one hour but this one managed to get one my nerve real quick. Came in for a chill puzzle game experience and got a frustrating first-person plate-former. Not for me. Too bad because it's visually pleasing with a nice Portal / Talos atmosphere.

This is horrible lmao long story short: imagine a portal ripoff that managed to also ripoff every portal-inspired game at once and do it horribly (poor idea = poor execution = what's the point of making this) this game is also bad from a technical side of things, those physics made the gameplay even worse (i think physics is the first thing you need to perfect when working on a puzzle platformer), there's literally no way to change the sensitivity so you'll have to deal with it on your own. if you look at this game from the pov of someone who has played enough of puzzle platformers, i wanna say that using textboxes as a way to progress is NOT it, i can't spend time just reading through the enourmours amounts of text when i've got a chamber to solve lmao, i'd recommend adding some kind of a voice over with a textbox that's used for captions i still have no idea what this story is about by the way if you're a fan of portal and would like to check fan games, this is not it lmao, there are much better alternatives you could check out

90% of text moves too fast and theres no time to read anything. player controller has locked mouse turning speed, possibly built for controllers instead of kbm. got stuck into some jumping puzzle and was unable to figure it out. also has some weird stuttering when walking to new areas.

This review will be written in Catalan, because unfortunately Steam does not recognise Catalan as a language yet. But we are working to change that. If you want, you can read the review in English in our group forum: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/catalantranslation/discussions/1/ No he finalitzat el joc i he obtingut el joc mitjançant una clau gratuïta. If you like this review and want to help us with…

I've quit playing rather quickly because I got annoyed by the platforming. I expected puzzles, not precision platforming.

System of Souls is a puzzle platformer. So it consists of two elements, puzzle solving and platforming. The puzzle part of the game is easy. When you enter a new level it does not take long before you figure out what you have to do to beat that level. The difficulty however lies in the platforming, which can be quite challenging. As a puzzle enthusiast I was hoping that the puzzle part of the game was the most prominent part. It thus was not. Still, I very much enjoyed playing this game. The level design is quite good. The puzzle solving was fun despite being easy. The platforming can be hard, with lots of retrying and some frustration. But it is always beatable before becoming too frustrating. In between the intense gameplay there are moments of relaxation where you enter a room where pieces of your memory are restored. Or you enter a lounge where you can rest and talk to robots that walk around there before proceeding into the next floor. The ending is also well done, with a sort of boss fight at the last level followed by going outside the building and entering four codes you collected to finish the game. I will not go into full detail about this because I don’t want to spoil …
