About Tales From The Arcade: Fartmania

Fart Your Way to Victory!

Aliens have busted into your backyard and kidnapped your friends and family. The only edge you have is you’re a pig with a serious case of flatulence.

They Once Laughed...

The other pigs laugh at how smelly you are. They often call you ‘Stinky’. Stinky? Well…

Who's laughing now? Too stinky for the aliens to take! You’re now the only one who can save them before the dangerous starborn creatures steal all your friends away.

After them!

Using your powerful farts, rocket your way to victory! No alien craft can escape your fart filled might!

Features:
  • Precision platforming with a very musical gimmick! (Toot toot!)
  • Finally, a game with infinite double jumps! (Just don’t light a match!)
  • Show them all they’re wrong… (Prove your disability is a boon!)
  • At least two epic showdowns against the alien menace! (maybe even three?!)
  • The highest FPS (Farts Per Second) of any game ever released!

Only You Can Save Them...

There is no one else, just you, a bad case of IBS, and a family of fellow swine to save. Bounce, fart, jump, and explore your way up into the very stratosphere to rescue your friends from the clutches of their alien kidnappers.

Heroes come in small packages, but sometimes they have big smells.

I'm kind of torn on recommending this. It's a good idea, nice art style etc, but there just isn't much content, even for the relatively low price. After 30 mins or so I've had two successful runs and I don't really feel like a third. I think the Devs if they are serious about this game should develop out some mini puzzle levels, angry birds style, which players can play though and try to score 3 stars. Like, 20-30 of them to make the game worth the money. They could then sell further levels as dlc.

Tales From The Arcade: Fartmania is a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience. It's yet another of literally thousands of console ported 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. The only point of interest in this routine "me too" entry in a sea of pointless and ignored platformers is a flatulence theme. Yep, that's all the developer could come up with. Needless to say, it failed. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game is comprised of somewhat okay-ish hand drawn 2D cartoony illustrations instead of professional looking 3D game assets. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can create graphical assets properly, or lack of talent. Regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is very low, beneath what PC gamers have come to expect in this era of cutting edge photorealistic 3D graphics. At least it's not pixel "art", but if you're looking for contemporary, immersive visu…

Having a lot of fun with this one. You come for the silly laughs and then you stay for some addictive gameplay!

The quality level of this is insane for what it is. I mean it's just a simple platformer, with some crude humor, but dev didn't spare any effort, and it shows.
