About Tamarak Trail

In this deck-building roguelike, you'll use a customizable dice set as you battle through randomly generated trails - full of loot, mysteries, and danger to protect inhabitants from the evil that has corrupted the trail.

As a member of the Sturgeon Lodge: a secret society tasked with defeating a malevolent presence that has corrupted Tamarak Trail, it is your job to bring peace to all inhabitants.

Choose from a myriad of dice sides to create powerful synergies and manipulate the battlefield. Chain re-rolling and turning abilities to achieve unimaginable power!

You'll play as one of three character classes: The Detective, the Magician, and the Tracker to dig up clues & find game-changing artifacts about the source of evil.

Enjoy the endless replayability of a randomly generated Trail, with different bosses, objectives, and encounters. Select your path carefully and manage your resources to see your adventure to the end.

Some items have been permanently imbued with the reality-warping power inhabiting the Trail. Collect them to gain more dice or drastically change your character's battle style.

90 Hours In – Send Help. The Pigeons Have Won So there I was… minding my business, rolling dice, living my best randomly-generated adventurer life… when they came. The pigeons. Yes. PIGEONS. Not dragons. Not demons. PIGEONS. I’ve spent 90 hours in Tamarak Trail fighting eldritch horrors and surviving cursed forests, only to get absolutely bodied—repeatedly—by a gang of feathery sky rats with attitude problems and a vendetta against my entire bloodline. Gameplay? Solid. Strategy? Deep. RNG? Painfully hilarious. I picked this up on a whim and now I’m 90 hours in, sleep-deprived, questioning my life choices, and muttering “not the pigeons… not again…” in my sleep. If Darkest Dungeon had a baby with a cursed tabletop game and that baby was raised by birds who hate you personally—it would be this. 11/10, would get pecked to death again.

So close and yet falls short. Difficult to figure out, and the encounters are looooong! It feels like a chore, not like a game. I am struggling with what I assume should be basic enemies at the very start of the game. Its not fun when you encounter a bird two encounters in who summons more birds who each do 10 damage without care back to back! This is ridiculous. Literally don't know what you could do to survive such high level enemies so early on. Its not about skill. This game just isn't fair or streamlined.

The game is a lot of fun, but unfortunately, it’s plagued by game-breaking bugs—lock screens, corrupted save files, and other technical issues that really hurt the overall experience. At its core, there’s a great game here, but be prepared to start over more than once due to problems outside of your control. Hopefully, future updates can smooth things out.

Fun rouge dice banger, takes a bit of a commitment to unlock enough dice to be able to make meaningful progress through the game, but still pretty fun!

Game would be fun if it wasn't a buggy mess. Softlocks on every victory by failing to offer rewards and not allowing the player to skip them.
