Tank Operation: European Campaign is a turn-based, tactical war game with a dozen nerve-racking historical scenarios on the various battlefields of World War II with more than 50 faithful, authentic military units.
For all of Europe, World War 2 was a disaster of epic proportions. Relentlessly, National Socialist Germany pushed forward its campaign of destruction in all directions. Eventually, the allies made a stand to thwart the growing global threat of National Socialism's claim to world dominance. Would they have the strength to stop the Third Reich? As an American general you lead your tanks across the battlefields of Europe and Northern Africa. With the right combination of tactics and strategy you will vanquish the Wehrmacht and put an end to its campaign of destruction.

Doesn't do anything new, or even do anything old at all well. Absolutely no reason not to just fire back up Panzer Corps instead of suffering through the inferior graphics and sub-par implementation of the same old game mechanics (same except done worse). I'd have played more if only to get more grist for this review, but 1) I became aware I was having no fun at all and was therefore wasting my precious time on this earth and 2) I wanted to make sure I got my refund request placed in time.5 found this helpful

Steam initially released Tank Operations in 2013, but it mysteriously disappeared from the platform for unknown reasons. However, in 2024, Tank Operations European Campaigns was released. I am unsure why the developers opted to recreate the entire game, but I possess both versions. Notably, the original Tank Operations is no longer available on Steam, as evident from the images I posted. Interestingly, the 2013 version received overwhelmingly negative reviews, whereas the 2024 release garnered positive reviews. After playing and comparing both versions, I struggled to discern any significant differences. The disparity in reviews between the two versions is perplexing. Nevertheless, this review focuses on Tank Operations European Campaigns. The game offers a unique experience, where players assume the role of the Americans, commencing with Operation Torch, and landing on beaches with an aircraft carrier, a battleship, and four cruisers. The battleship serves as a transport vessel for tanks, troops, and equipment, while the aircraft carrier houses planes that can be purchased and upgraded. Sorry, but no. AI dumb as bread. Stupid air combat mechanis. Supply/logistics extremly simplified. No combined arms benefits. Slow AI turns. And finally: RNG as hell. Sorry, but no.2 found this helpful

A good distraction. Not too complicated and not too simple. Very enjoyable game play.
