Teddy Knight is a good action roguelike game. The Teddy Knight is cute.2 found this helpful
Teddy Knight is a small but confident roguelite that builds its appeal around contrast and physicality, taking a deceptively cute premise and layering it with fast, reactive combat that thrives on momentum and chaos. Developed and published by Singular Division, it places you in the role of a toy knight brought to life inside a warped, hostile toy chest, where innocence and danger coexist in a way that defines the game’s tone from the outset. While the premise might initially suggest something light and whimsical, the actual experience leans more toward tight, physics-driven action that rewards awareness, timing, and adaptability. The most distinctive element of Teddy Knight is its combat system, which replaces traditional attack-heavy mechanics with an emphasis on movement and impact. Rather than simply striking enemies, you’re encouraged to launch, bounce, and reposition them using the environment itself. This creates a constant interplay between control and unpredictability, where success often comes from understanding how objects and enemies react to force rather than memorizing attack patterns. Fights feel dynamic because they rarely unfold the same way twice—an enemy knocked…1 found this helpful
This is a cool game that reminds me of a XBox 360 game. My only two nitpicks are that if you pause the game enemies can still attack you. My second is that there isn't a lot of content.
4/5 stars: great game, good mechanics, good challenge and fun. My only drawback is that it crashes when I parry the enemies that jump up and land down on you, though I suppose you shouldn't be parrying those anyway.
Pretty fun game that has a lot of potential if new content gets added, and the game gets more polished. The "pinball machine" type gameplay is also very unique, or at least something I've never seen before. Currently, playing the game right now feels a little.. empty? The environment is good but feels like its missing things- the game overall feels like its missing some things as well: A higher variety of items (though maybe I just haven't seen all this game has to offer yet), more menus to see what you've picked up/discovered or stats (etc.), and more settings would be nice There are also bugs that will crash the game (A consistent way to trigger one is spamming dash off of the playing field) but I would love to see this game grow and develop a community. I'm aware the game released just 2 days ago, but still, this is all stuff that could be added and fixed in the future, that I would personally love to see
It's a good game considering it's free. There's no real objective, just levels. Would I play it again? No. Would I recommend it? Why not?
