Terrors to Unveil is a series-based psychological horror game that immerses players in disturbing stories, each one unraveling the terrifying stories of those who lived to tell their experiences.

David Hopster, a 15-year-old high school student, has just been left home alone for the weekend while his parents head out of town. At first, everything seemed normal. He spent the day enjoying his freedom. But by nightfall, strange things started happening.

It's okay I suppose. I think if you are into games like the Fears to Fathom franchise, then this is definitely along those lines. Still, even the shortest F2F game possessed much more nuance than this title. At times it feels like the sequence of events is just random and trivial, adding nothing to the narrative. Building tension with some sort of misdirection, or by introducing something ominous earlier on, would build immersion, allowing the player to begin questioning the people in the game. For instance, a customer or two in the store could have shared a story about a urban myth, a legend, or even just some news of a local crime spree or something; or perhaps the news on the TV could have shared some kind of story. Some of the jump scares were too out of place and random to be scary. Timing is everything, yet even the best timing can't save a lack of tension. Again, the tension really needed to be building throughout the experience of the game. Instead, it falls flat here, and never capitalizes on the ways in which it tries to build tension. Jeez this was boring. I don't have anything else to say. It's the fear to Fathoms game 1 but it's boring and not scary. The plot doesn't even tie into itself in the same way. You eat food and go shopping for no reason, there's no horror, no dread. What is this???
