Crazy good for an indie mmorpg. Works well with a controller as well. Give this a try if you are looking for that old school classic non-pvp mmorpg.1 found this helpful
The gameplay is mobile game gameplay, lets get that out of the way. 5 abilities, simple quests, move around, kill stuff, theres no autoplay like alot of mobile games so you'll have to actively participate. This game is grindy as hell, is what it is, but honestly there's nothing wrong with a game like this to turn your brain off after a really long day at work and just kill stuff. At least for me i find peace in grindy games because i dont have to focus on alot except kill monster, stay alive, get gear, as you can imagine im quite a fan of the diablo series. This game isn't for everyone but i will say its worth a try.
I played a sorcerer up to level 45 before writing this. (took 13 hours playing casually solo) There are a few things that i find strange about this game, for example there is no targetting when in combat, you just look in the direction you want to attack and the game kinda autotargets for you. The range of the spells feels short, but its enough because its very easy to kite the mobs and wait for timers and with the amount of aoe spells you get its easy to kill groups of mobs without getting hit. The zones feel very small and narrow even, but with what feels like unlimited teleporting around the game you can pick up and grind quests very quickly. Overall its a cute game, I feel like the target audience/players are young kids.
This is a straight up, easy-going mmorpg. It has an old school feel, a simple interface and caters to both passive play and grinding. There may not be thousands of players on at once, but the main server does hit nearly 1000 at any given time. Other players are generally pretty receptive to partying, though it's not required. Most new players will find that they can solo the main quest (getting you to about level 60) and then likely pick up more party invites as they grind through fishing, trials (party instances), and remnants (aka instanced boss fights). One of the more enjoyable elements of Eterspire is the level of sarcasm constantly omitted by the NPCs. It's unique in the way that the game doesn't take itself too seriously, all things considered. Generally speaking, it skips the whole long-winded "woe is me, please help!" story building for snarky comments and silly conversation. There is no actual need to purchase anything in this game. But the biggest bonus for paying the one-time purchase upgrade of $20, cosmetics aside, is a mount and access to some "purchase only" areas. Mounts are the only item in the game that improve your travel speed. I got 25 hours into the game b…
