Welcome to New Haven, an utopian social experiment where everyone was supposed to enjoy an idyllic existence and live in harmony. But under the planet's strange, crimson moon, human nature gave way and utopia turned into its opposite. A prison was erected to contain those who broke with the idealistic vision and understand their condition, but that necessary evil only gave birth to further evils. Now you wake up in one of the cells, awoken by a mysterious voice in your head, amidst carnage and chaos...The Colony is a top-down action adventure in the spirit of gaming classics, where danger lurks behind every corner, enemies abound, quests await completion, and entire regions lay open for exploration. Will you stay alive long enough, aided by weapons and sophisticated technologies, to find out the truth behind New Haven?

As it is right now i cant recommend it, the game is fine but its missing something, all the areas feel the same and very empty. honestly feels like it was supposed to be a mobile game.6 found this helpful
I had a lot of fun with The Colony: New Haven Chronicles (a mouthful for sure, but a good mouthful). I quickly found myself immersed in the world, which fleshed itself out well amongst the character interactions and bits of narrative scattered throughout the colony. The game is short, but worth the price (I bought it on sale). I played with keyboard/mouse and the combat felt smooth. The music and sound effects were engaging as were the biomes. I like the MC's design as well as the overall look of the game (I'm a sucker for pixel art). It does feel like some things were missing, but it also feels like I myself, overlooked some things (aka. I'm sure there are secrets [spoiler] ? maybe tied to luck, [/spoiler] I didn't find). All in all, it was great, I certainly look forward to more and hopefully a sequel, which it feels like the game is not so subtly alluding to.3 found this helpful
The keys aren't re-bind-able & I don't like the defaults, there is too much exposition, & a lot of jank.
