After 2 hours of playing time (offline) here is my review: There are many good RPGMaker games, some are even really great. Well, Crimson Pearl is not one of them. Rather, it plays as if someone took parts from other games and mixed them in a blender. The story...of course we have to save the world. But after the first dungeon there is a disagreement in the group. 1 of the witches is changed by an artifact, kills another group member and hey presto, now it is up to us and a new group to stop this witch. To do this we have to find 3 artifacts that are scattered around the world and bring them together. There is no map...means walking around (on foot or by ship) until you reach the next dungeon. The dungeons are boring. They drag on endlessly like a tube, every now and then there is a fork...one path leads to the goal, the other usually to a chest whose contents are hardly worth the effort. The fights are always the same. Each dungeon is populated by only 2 types of monster. The rewards are very few experience and even less gold. This presents us with a problem, there is hardly enough to equip the group...there is actually nothing left for healing potions. This means that we either …1 found this helpful
If I'm being honest this game felt threadbare. It was a game I had to come back to at separate intervals to finish, but for what it had to offer I enjoyed it. All the structures were in place for it to shine.I do believe including more content, more immersive gameplay and world-building/storytelling, among general tweaks like fast-travel, respawnable enemies could really help this game stand on its own.1 found this helpful

Set in a land suffering under the weight of a mysterious corruption known as the Blight, the game follows two central figures whose discovery of a possible cure sets them on a path that intertwines personal stakes with the fate of an entire kingdom. From the beginning, it establishes a familiar but dependable framework, one that prioritizes clarity and progression over experimentation or complexity. The narrative is at the forefront of the experience, unfolding steadily as players travel across different regions and encounter characters connected to the ongoing crisis. The story emphasizes determination and sacrifice, framing the protagonists as individuals driven by both personal motivation and a broader sense of responsibility. While the premise is engaging enough to maintain interest, the storytelling largely adheres to established fantasy conventions. Plot developments follow a predictable structure, and while there are moments of emotional weight, they rarely push …
Short rpgmaker game with the typical features. One that would have been very helpful, but was missing is an egress option for the dungeons. They were large with many rooms and once done, the player must walk back trough the entire dungeon, without enemies at least.
