The Debug™

"The Debug™" is barely a game. It's an advertisement for the developers other games. There's a short 5 minute (extremely badly done) arcade minigame then a slew of advertisements for badly made products from the same developer. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. Publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. Gives about 5 minutes of actual (whacked out) gameplay followed by a long commercial for "upcoming titles" by the dev. A waste of time. Rating: 0/10

Игра "The Debug™" - это глоток свежего воздуха в жанре головоломок. Оригинальная концепция, где игрок становится отладчиком в виртуальной системе, цепляет с первых минут. Механика переключения между кодом и его визуализацией реализована на высшем уровне, позволяя глубоко погрузиться в процесс решения проблем. Сложность головоломок постепенно возрастает, обучая игрока основам программирования и логического мышления без нудной теории. Визуальный стиль минималистичен, но эффективен, не отвлекая от сути процесса. Музыкальное сопровождение приятно дополняет атмосферу, создавая ощущение сосредоточенности, но не напряженности. Несмотря на иногда встречающиеся неочевидные решения, "The Debug™" оставляет после себя положительные впечатления. Это игра, которая не просто развлекает, но и способствует развитию полезных навыков. Однозначно рекомендую всем, кто любит поломать голову и ищет что-то новое и необычное.

A neat little demo. I like this style of humor and I think a friend of mine would too. I remember watching a streamer play Potato Thriller and Giraffe Town in the past. I guess I was 5 years and a day late for this demo though. Happy post-Halloween!
