In The Devil's Chosen, classic action, tense exploration, puzzle-solving gameplay and the worst demons you can imagine in a classic card world style.
Players team up with an unnamed character, because that's not important, and his pathetic attempt to have a girlfriend, which he sometimes doesn't understand, how she always gets him into trouble, today was no different, the fate of hell it's in your hands!

This game has some potential to eventually become a good game, thus far however it definitely is not. It's pretty much 100% trial and error to progress. You are basically blind so you have to go really slow to find obligatory secret passages and avoid traps. You often have to go over traps or otherwise take damage to progress and take too much damage and you might as well just kill yourself to start over the level cause you ain't beating it. And yes, make sure to die to restart because the game doesn't save between levels even though you begin a new game by choosing a save file, so if you restart you'll have to redo the game from the beginning. Oh and did I mention that there are areas that look like those where you have to take damage but in fact are just trolling you? Of course there are places like that! You move very slowly and each time you interact with something the camera zooms in and stops you from doing any inputs for a few seconds. If your health goes too low your screen becomes red and makes you even blinder than before, one of the few indicators if you can walk somewhere or if a trap is hidden behind something is the color of the frame of the tile which red screen mod…6 found this helpful
this game is very different, it has some problems, but I believe that due to early access, a card game with exploration, item creation and terror, it is a game with great potential, for now I'm waiting for new updates.1 found this helpful
Unfortunately this game seems to be incomplete and has no sort of way forward. I didn't mind the gameplay, but it is a shame it just... seemed to fizzle out early.
Was having fun until i kept going in circles then realized it hasn't been updated since 2022. Inscyprtion vibes. Totes my fault. Much sad, very short, refunded.
Interesting game with a lot of potential. It just needs to be worked on more... and let's see if it happens someday because last update was 2 years ago haha
Honestly it has potential. I can see it being awesomely engaging in the future, but right now it doesnt offer anything except preview of game mechanics. There basically is no game yet. Im looking forward to seeing more from the devs. For now its not worth paying yet.
