- Are primarily looking for satisfying action combat (this game's combat is strategy- and command-focused)

This game has a good art style and presentation, allows for some freedom, and displays NPCs with unique traits and personalities, that end up only being relevant once you are part of a kingdom, leading it or serving under someone, undermining the independant experience. It ends up being a worse version of Bannerlord; not worth the price, or the time.7 found this helpful
This game is so broken. I love the idea, But the combat is S#17 very sluggish and and hard to follow/move and hit. The quests the lord tells you to accomplish you accomplish it but then it says you failed. Like it said get the walls to 100 for X location you do that. You get it to 200 because you got the option to keep going. Then it says you failed. Okay next time ill just do the minimum. You do the minimum 100 you failed. (EDIT) you need to talk to the crown of the town and hit the report button to complete the quest. FIX YOUR GAME!!! Then ill change my review5 found this helpful
has potential but the price point to content/bugs ratio is far too high. get it on a deep sale or wait 6 months to a year for further development. Devi score 4/10 ++ the story triggers are pretty decent. + very much a dupe of M&B if you like that game you'll like this one, it follows the same path progression: your no one, warrior, join or create faction, join or create a country,****spoiler**** find the 7 keys to halt the end of the world. -------- its an EA game and bugs are to be expected, but at such a high cost the game should have more to offer, and be a bit more polished: the character creator is portrait only, no VA on the MC, it has game breaking bugs, for now there is nothing that sets this game apart from M&B but its aesthetic. the combat is fairly different but not in a positive way. for almost $30.00 this is highway robbery.4 found this helpful
I was enjoying the game for what it is. An incomplete cousin of bannerlord, and a few other games we have played/enjoyed in the past. It is okay if you enjoy these types of games and while it is a bit expensive for what it currently offers I figured I'd still try it out. The one thing that surprised me was seeing "Your device is out of memory" Now that sent me. I mean you can probably see why if you look at my specs. It was using 94.5% of my entire RAM at one point and caused a system lock for a bit. Bottom line? Buy it if A: you have nothing better to play right now to scratch that itch, or B: buy it because you just want to try it. Just know that it will cause your PC to explode if you try to run it at 60FPS or above. I locked it to 30 so my system wouldn't go nuts trying to stay cool.3 found this helpful
The End of History doesn't really deserve all the negative reviews in my opinion. There are some bugs, yes. For example, curently there are several popups when an NPC dies and he doesn't actually seem to die. Or you can abuse the tutorial battles to level up your character to mid-strength in combat skills (and even further if you can stand grinding for longer). I also ran into an untested update already which does not exactly inspire confidence. However, the game is far from being unplayable and the bugs did not dominate my experience. If there are weak points then those are rather the limited actions our hero can perform and the combat system. There are a lot of fun combat skills but the controls are terribly unintuitive (mouse and keyboard for me). It's difficult to spot whether a foe attacks you or not (too much blurring and colourful animations). This makes blocking difficult but blocking is king due to its timed parry stun feature. When you attack you can only change the direction of your attacks again when you pause for a second. This is quite irritating since enemies move around all the time. If you target/focus an enemy to make aiming easier, pray to god that you get the …2 found this helpful
